Santa's on the Way

Wow, 20 days till Christmas. Where has this year gone. Well on to the reason for this post. A couple of weeks ago one of the girls I was working with had this container of mints
I saw it as a santa. Don't know why but that is the way my mind works sometimes. So I found them at a great price and thought I would see if I could make my idea come to life. I wanted his beard to be over the larger opening so you will be able to get the mints out.
This is a photo of what I came up with. Not bad if I say say so myself.  I will be making these
for people I work with.

Below you will see the pieces I used and the items I used to make them. I did how ever after
taking the pictures choose to use the scalloped edge punch for the trim on Santa's hat.
The punches I used are large oval, owl punch, bird builder punch, large scalloped circle,
the third oval thinlet from the frameits line,The retired scalloped circle #2 for the bigshot,
and the star burst embossing folder. Hope this helps you to make your own Santa's.

Hope you have enjoyed this post and maybe make a few for yourself.
Have a great day and happy crafting.

Halloween Challenage

I am trying to get back in the grove have been really missing joining in on challenges all over the web. This weeek I am joining in on a challenge over at meljens designs  .

The Challenge is

Fab-Boo-Lous

Anything but a card. You must also use an image by Meljens designs.

I made a cover for full size bags of skittles. I used a 6 x 12 sheet of card stock, covered it with ghost background paper. I then printed out the words twice. I colored them in using copic markers. I added glitter to the lines. The ghost are colored in with pearlized accent ink from stamin up, also adding goggle eyes to make them pop.. I cut out and popped up the A, U, and T on Happy haunts for the outside cover.

On the inside I colored once again with copics, added glitter to the B, O, & Exclamation point. I also added crystal effects to the spider and the center of the B & O's. I also cut out and popped up the B. Then added pop dots to the back and popped it up.

Hope you have enjoyed this project and be sure to go over and check out all the great Images at

Perfect Blend

Today I have a new card using the set "Perfect Blend" from Stampin up

This first one is made quick and simple. I popped up the cup
& added crystal effects to the top. Then I stamped it
on matching designer series paper.

This shows how with just some ribbon and button
it steps the card up and makes it pop.

Well hope you have enjoyed this post and have
a crafting good day.
